# Delete your account

Understand what account deletion removes and where to confirm it.

Deleting your account permanently deletes every team you own, including their data and stored files, and removes you from other teams. Subscriptions for your owned teams are cancelled. This cannot be undone.

## Before deleting

Export any drawings you need to keep. Let teammates know if they depend on a team you own: that team's data will also be deleted.

## Delete the account

1. Click your avatar at the top right of the dashboard.
2. Choose **Account settings → Account**.
3. Read **Delete your account**.
4. Type `delete my account` into the confirmation field.
5. Click **Delete account**.

After deletion succeeds, Synaps signs you out.

If Synaps cannot cancel an owned team's subscription, deletion is stopped. Follow the error shown and retry or contact support.
