# Change your plan or billing cycle

Switch between paid plans or Monthly and Annual billing, and check when the change takes effect.

You must be the **team owner**.

## Choose the change

1. Select the correct team on the dashboard.
2. Open the gear beside its name, then **Subscription**.
3. Click **Change plan**. If cancellation is already scheduled, the button is **View plans**.
4. Select **Monthly** or **Annual** and find the plan you want.
5. Read the timing message before selecting the plan's button. If a discount-removal notice appears, review it before confirming.

## When does it take effect?

| Change                             | Timing                                                                          |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Move to a higher plan              | After the required payment succeeds; Stripe calculates the prorated difference. |
| Move to a lower plan               | At the next renewal.                                                            |
| Annual to Monthly on the same plan | At the next renewal.                                                            |
| Monthly to Annual on the same plan | After the required payment succeeds.                                            |

Choosing a plan while cancellation is scheduled resumes the subscription as part of the change.

## Check the result

An immediate change shows **Subscription updated**. A future change shows **Change scheduled for next billing period**, with its effective date in Subscription.

To undo a scheduled plan change before it starts, choose **Keep current plan** in the scheduled-change notice.
