# Find the right controls

Find drawing tools, camera rendering and image editing controls in Synaps. Select an item or open command search to reveal the actions you need.

Choose a drawing tool or select an item to reveal the controls for that task.

## Draw and measure

Use the drawing tools for editable geometry: lines, walls, rooms, openings and annotations. Open command search with **Cmd/Ctrl+K** to find an available tool or action by name.

The active tool panel shows dimensions and options for the current drawing step.

## Work with an image

Activate **Select** and select one image to see its image actions, including **Segment**, **Edit with prompt**, **Expand**, **Remove background** and **Boost resolution**.

Image edits change the picture, not the editable floor plan or assets behind it. See [Choose an AI tool](/ai-and-automation/choose-an-ai-tool.md) for the distinction.

## Work with a camera

Place and aim a **Camera**, then select that camera alone with **Select** to reveal its rendering prompt. The result is a new image, while the drawing remains editable.
