# Leave a team

Remove your membership from a team you no longer need to access.

This action is available to **non-owner team members**. The team owner cannot leave through this menu.

## Leave the team

1. Select the team on the dashboard.
2. Click the gear beside its name and choose **Members**.
3. Find your row, marked **(you)**.
4. Open its menu and choose **Leave team**.
5. Read the confirmation, then click **Leave**.

You lose access to the team and its resources. Leaving does not delete the team or its projects for the other members. To return later, ask someone with invitation permission to invite you again.

## Leave a shared project

If you are a project guest rather than a team member, your guest row may offer **Leave** for that shared resource. Check the scope in the confirmation before continuing.
