# Assets in camera views

Prepare placed assets for a camera view and inspect how they appear in an interior render.

Place assets in your drawing, then use a camera to inspect and render the space they occupy.

## Place and aim a camera

Choose **Camera**, click to place it, then move to aim and click again to set the direction. With **Select** active, select the camera alone to see its rendering prompt.

See [Create an interior render](/ai-and-automation/create-an-interior-render.md) for the full task.

## Check asset appearance

The library's **camera badge** marks assets with a dedicated 3D representation. Choose a badged asset when its appearance in the camera view matters.

Inspect the camera preview for missing objects, size and orientation before rendering. Compare the generated image with that preview afterwards.

## Keep drawing and image changes separate

Moving or restyling an asset in the drawing is different from changing its appearance in a rendered image. [Replace Element](/ai-and-automation/replace-an-object-from-a-reference.md) edits the picture; it does not swap the drawing asset.

After choosing an image direction, update the editable drawing separately where needed.
