# Increase image resolution

Use Boost resolution to enhance a selected image, then check its detail and placement.

Select an image and choose **Boost resolution** to replace it with an enhanced image.

## When to use it

Use resolution enhancement when an image needs clearer detail in a presentation. Keep an original for comparison because enhancement can change fine details.

## Steps

1. Press **V** for **Select** and select one image.
2. Click **Boost resolution** in the image actions.
3. Wait for processing to finish, then inspect the result at the size you intend to use.
4. Check the image's size and placement on the canvas and adjust them if needed.

## What you'll see

The enhanced result replaces the original image. Check its canvas size and position, which may change.

Compare text, textures and fine edges with the original before using the result.

## Controls and limits

**Boost resolution** runs with preset enhancement settings. There is no enlargement-factor or exact pixel-size control. Each repeat is another AI operation.

**Undo** restores the earlier image state; **Cancel** stops the local waiting flow. Neither guarantees a credit refund. See [AI credits](/workspace-and-billing/understand-ai-credits.md#cancellation-and-undo).

## Troubleshooting

**The image looks different rather than more accurate.** Compare it with the original and undo if the result is unsuitable. Start from a better source when fidelity matters.
