# Apply wallpaper in an image

Apply a wallpaper reference to a detected paintable surface in an image.

Select a paintable surface with **Segment**, then use **Add/Change wallpaper** to apply a reference pattern.

## Before you start

Prepare a clear JPG or PNG reference showing the wallpaper. Keep a separate original for comparison; this edit updates the image.

Choosing a built-in sample, where offered, starts the edit immediately and can use AI credits. Upload your own reference if you want to inspect its preview before pressing Apply.

## Steps

1. Select the interior image and click **Segment**.
2. Wait for detection, then click the paintable surface you want to change.
3. Click **Add/Change wallpaper**.
4. Click the upload area to choose your reference image, or drag the image into it.
5. Check the reference preview and click **Apply wallpaper**.

## What you'll see

The wallpaper pattern appears on the selected surface.

## Controls and limits

Use a reference image to guide the pattern. Check its scale and direction around corners and openings. The edit leaves the drawing unchanged.

## Troubleshooting

**The action is missing.** Confirm that a paintable surface is selected, rather than a floor or another object.

**The reference cannot be selected.** Choose an image file rather than a document; JPG or PNG is a suitable starting choice.

**The pattern reads poorly.** Use a clearer reference and inspect the target region before another attempt. Check the credit cost before submitting again.
